I left my home town to study, and missed the start of the smartphones taking over the world as we know it.

By the time i started catching up the Iphone 4s was already released, and everything from Instagram to Twitter were already a big deal. Going back to work as a journalist still thinking the hasthag was still a sign for numbers.

I started doing freelance photography, mostly for the local newspaper where I now work as a staff journalist. But absolutely everywhere I went, and every picture I took - there was always someone else taking a picture, somewhere in the frame.

In the start I treated them like a foreign element, and did my best to avoid them, thinking they ruined my photo in some way or another.

Then came acceptance, and I stopped caring.

Next, I embraced it. Started not only including them, but even actively seeking people taking pictures with their mobiles, and to a smaller extent, using their phones to post photos, or browse photos.

Having embarked on several too ambitious projects for my graduation thesis for my degree at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Serbia, I was on the lookout for another project.

Considered posting as a work in progress, cause I kinda never stopped taking this kind of pictures. Will probably update it soon, or move it over to WIP.
