Wooden Toy Design 'TOY CABINET'
Don’t worry about baddys (Oct, 2013)
for Toycabinet / Toy design project

“Don’t worry about the baddys” is a series of toys for kidults*. The inspiration of this design was from the idea of how heavy equipment creates a construction but at the same time destructs the environment. This derived the motivation to design a toy and an illustration.
kidults* = ((An adult who participates in youth culture and activities traditionally intended for children))

The logotype is a calligraphy which creates a contrast between the geometric structure of the toy and the freehand writing like flawless calligraphy print. The general frame of this story is to be careful with the bad people. However, the ambiguous message delivered behind this story is foreshadowed on the logotype. The use of the thick line that cross over the word, ”Don’t” and the glass cap like accessory for shadows the ambiguous message that you don’t have be afraid of the bad people but relax. The logotype and the product information on the print is not printed but instead stamped, which then makes it to effectively give an impression of the raw feel.
