Salvation Mountain. Niland. California. 

This small man made mountain in the south-eastern desert of California was built by Leonard Knight to convey the message that, ‘God is Love’. During a trip there in 2011 I visited and documented my surroundings of this peaceful, strange and beautiful place. 

In early 2014 Leonard Knight sadly died, and a group of volunteers continue to look after his creation to ensure its continued maintenance.
