Cover and illustrations for the card game Turandot written by Stefano Castelli, published by DVGiochi and Lucca Games. The game, inspired by the eponymous Opera by Giacomo Puccini, has won the Miglior Gioco Inedito (Best Unpublished Game) award at Lucca Comics & Games 2008.

In the game each player must choose the singers that will perform the play from an improbable cast of characters. Stefano asked for my help in illustrating the rich cast, composed by the characters in th play, the various singers (thematically linked) and the directors.
A team of professionals. Will they get the part?
The illustrations were sketched on paper, then outlined and colored in Photoshop.

The project was a lot of fun to work on, and working closely with the game designer was very inspiring and led to some interesitng choices for the characters in the game.
