Silicon Cityscapes - Editorial / Conceptual Project

Inspried by some of the many incredible tilt-shift time lapse videos and photographs of cities such New York, James Bareham went in search of some old trashed Apple Macs that were destined for eWaste. Two old iMacs and and old MacBook supplied the circuit boards that became micro cityscapes in a series of conceptual photographs for an upcoming project for a tech company.

The rich green and blue logic boards, micro processors and Firewire ports became perfect miniature skyscapers, office buildings and city blocks on a micro scale. Some even look decidedly suburban.

All of the photographs were taken using a wide angle lens and close up rings to create the barrel distortion. All of the photographs were taken using natural light.
