Nando's Chow & Cheers Menu
Menu design for a brand new special concept Nando's restaurant in Johannesburg, South Africa.The menu features, for the first time, a food AND drinks offer. The menu is designed to make a fuss about that fact. Two flip through menu options present themselves to hungry and thirsty patrons. The pages sit on a bamboo board attached to it with copper rings. On the left you can choose what to 'Chow', a local word for eating heartily. To the right you can Cheers. The two sides of the menu feature different tactile experiences for customers, Cheers is laser etched into cork, and features an African design vibe. Chow is copper foiled onto chocolate coloured leather more traditional Portuguese looking, together these hand made menu's create the progressive Afro-Portuguese mashup that Nando's is so loved for.
