Katha follows the philosophy of ‘storytelling as a medium of education’. So based on Katha’s teaching principle of SPICE (Social Personal Intellectual Cultural Environmental) learning, the book series that I designed catered to directing active young minds to think and analyse all these aspects about their own habitat and their reaction with respect to situations revolving around these five major factors that sum up the all round development of the child.
Not only does this series aim at increasing the knowledge base of children but also motivates them to read, make keen observations, deduce their own conclusions and form their ideologies regarding social issues, culture, environment, ethics and morality.

Today they are a committed and joyful team of 290 people. They have Kathashaalas (the Katha school) for children of all ages and demographics. They steadfastly do a lot of things to keep children in school and learning. At the other end of the literacy and literature spectrum, Katha is a quality publishing house for translations from their regional languages. Their children’s books are recognized, cherished and treasured, both in India and abroad.
