CAER EN EL OLVIDO
Hoy he comenzado una nueva serie de collages hechos a mano. En esta ocasión las obras que he decidido deconstruir son fotografías antiguas realizadas por otras personas a otras personas. Dentro de la colección que he seleccionado incluyo fotografías que he adquirido a través de vendedores en Internet y también algunos tesoros analógicos de herencia familiar. A la hora de comenzar he sufrido un debate interior porque no estaba segura de utilizar los originales. Me daba mucha pena destrozar las fotografías y finalmente decidí digitalizar las obras, imprimirlas y utilizar copias para trabajar sobre ellas.
A continuación os muestro la primera pieza que he creado con una de estas copias impresas. Continúo con mi irremediable tendencia a ocultar los rostros de los sujetos y a fusionarlos con elementos del entorno natural. Me ha motivado mucho la idea de otorgarle un nuevo sentido a ciertos individuos olvidados para dotarles de una nueva identidad dentro de un entorno que he hecho mío. Aún tengo muchos collages en mente que espero poder desarrollar y compartir próximamente. Espero que os guste. Feliz día para todos!

Today I started a new series of handmade collages. In this occasion I decided to deconstruct old photographs taken by others to others. Within the collection I have selected I include pictures that I've acquired through online stores and some analog treasures of family heritage. When starting this project I suffered an internal debate becaus I was not safe to use the originals. I felt sorry for destroying the pictures and finally decided to digitize the works, print and use copies to work on them.
Then I show the first piece I created with one of these prints. I continue with my inevitable tendency to hide the faces of subjects and fuse them with elements of the natural environment. I has motivated much the idea of putting a new meaning to certain forgotten persons to give them a new identity in an environment that I made mine. I have many collages in mind that I hope to develop and share soon yet. Hope you like it. Happy day to all!
