Friday, summer holidays of the year 2000. I've got to go and have lunch at grandma's earlier, because granddad is coming to get me for us to go and get baskets and chairs from Rochão with his van, which Farroca is driving. I really enjoy days like this, leaving home, going for a drive with granddad, listen to him talk to Farroca about the Benfica x Porto game last weekend. After collecting the baskets and chairs, we go back to Arema. When I get to Arema. I must always go and say hello to the people that work there, those who work in the office, those that wash the wicker when it's ready and those who work in the workshop downstairs. Before 5 o'clock, the time when granddad leaves, we pass by Café Relógio to see if everything is alright, and to see if many foreigners bought a lot of things.

My mother, my aunts and my grandma always helped my granddad with the wickerwork.

My dad would work at the wicker workshop with Mr. Fernando Sarola during his school holidays, to earn a little bit of money for the holidays and for school material for the following year.

This Project is dedicated to them.
