Logo and brand identity: INCASE research project grant

INCASE is a pro-bono project for the Respiratory team at Hospital Belvitge, Barcelona. It is an acronym for “In Vivo Cellular and Molecular Endoscopic Diagnoses” and aims to develop new technologies to access and diagnose lesions in the periphery of the lung. The INCASE team seek to gain funding through the European Union Medical Research Grant.

I was invited to create a logo as part of an ongoing branding effort.  The symbol is an abstraction of a set of lungs.  The continuous line ending with multiple branches symbolizes the path of discovery from the trachea to the tiny airways in the periphery of the lung.
