Techical Illustrations — Products & Processes

A curing tip is a dental tool that uses highly focused light beams to cure gluing and filling materials. The illustration shows that thousands of individual glass fibers are bundled together and shaped to form the body of the instrument.
This illustration shows one of the the early steps in the fiber optic manufacturing process. Glass rods are heated, stretched, and bundled repeatedly until thousands of incredibly thin individual fibers are grouped together. Light entering one side of the bundled finished piece is projected through to the other end with very little loss in strength.
A micro-slide is a microscope slide composed of thousands of individually bundled glass fibers. It is produced by slicing a "blank" of bundled fibers. Three levels of magnification are illustrated, beginning with the individual fibers and ending with the finished manufactured product.
A variety of illustrations used for packaging and instruction sheets.
Illustrations showing automated quality control inspections of glass containers during the manufacturing process.
