In this project I was asked to animate the Company name for the intro to their videos. They didn't want anything too complicated..keep it simple. Just metallic letters with a dark background. They sent me examples of other simple After Effects still images. I watched their videos and other people in that Genre. Once I had a feel for what they were doing I got to work.
The sound design for the eye was made using Native instruments Komplete. I took the sound of a plate and a clap. I played with them until I got a sound that matched what I thought the eye opening should sound like.
The eye was their logo and I surprised them by modeling it and having it open. It really felt good when they responded with tons of love for the direction I went saying,"I went above and beyond." Another satisfied customer. Now on to the next one!
