We went to Cuba for spring break 2011, while walking on the beach in Varadero we met "el cortico" and Luis "el gordo", two local fishermen who feed pelicans off their left overs, generaly baby sardines. They were friendly enough to invite us to their house for dinner that evening and despite what you might have heard about Cuba, they didn't accept a single peso in return. Nothing like Cuban hospitality. Gracias a Luis y a su familia !
