MASTICAR 2014 – ID
«Masticar» is the one and only Argentine gourmet fair entirely organised by local Chefs. It’s the most important gastronomic festival that gathers producers from all around the country in its market, along with the most prestigious restaurants and chefs, 40 food stalls, free cooking lessons and lectures, wine and beer tunnels.
In its third edition –that went from October 16th to 19th at the Dorrego, Palermo, Buenos Aires, Argentina–, we had the pleasure of developing the overall design of the fair. Under the slogan «Comer rico hace bien», the visual identity was designed based completely on the use of hand drawn letters and illustrations. All this followed by a unique handmade typeface for the festival, among other pieces that accompanied the whole graphic system.

Masticar es la primera y única feria de cocina argentina realizada íntegramente por cocineros. La fiesta más importante de la gastronomía que reúne a productores de todo el país en el mercado, a los restó y cocineros más prestigiosos, 40 puestos de comida, clases de cocina y charlas gratuitas, túneles de vino y cerveza.
En su tercera edición – del 16 al 19 de octubre, en el Dorrego –, tuvimos el placer de desarrollar el diseño integral de la feria. Bajo el lema: «Comer rico hace bien», se diseñó una identidad gráfica basada en el uso de letras dibujadas íntegramente a mano, ilustraciones y el desarrollo de una tipografía exclusiva para el evento entre otras piezas que lo acompañaron.
