Instagram is an online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, and share them on a variety of social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr. 

Our idea is to maintain the original feel of Instagram icon and give it a simple modifications. Now the instagram icon is more into polaroid camera and mobile. After a small research finally we came up to give important to video in the icon.

In the logo process we got surprised about the facts that we have mentioned above. The photos we have taken using mobile camera must be in 4:3 ratio.So we decided to give  symbolic representation of camera in  4:3 ratio in the icon. In instagram  we can Record only 15 sconds video, so we assumed the camera lens as a clock and taken 1/4 of it for the size of the video button.

The constrution of the icon is here. After getting the idea its very interesting to do it with grid for a professional look and feel.
