Northlane // Band Art

Northlane is a fairly young (formed in 2009) metalcore band from Blacktown, New South Whales, Australia.

Being one of my favourite bands, I thought it would be awesome creating a set of illustrative elements, as well as a new logotype (above) with them in mind - wishful thinking. That being said, I need to state that this project is totally fictional. I had no contact with the band while doing these, and just approached this as a personal project with Northlane as my primary theme. The EP title, tour title, venues, etc, is all placeholder information that are in no way real.

The band has already established themselves with a look and feel derived from many Egyptian aspects, with astrphysics as a secondary element. I felt that it would be best to push this idea, rather than create something totally new. Their slightly philosophical lyrical content, as well as the heavy, yet ambient soundscapes in their music lends itself particularly well to this look.

These graphics are mostly my interpretation of their lyrics in a graphic context, and a visual representation

of their sound, with the Egyptian theme being the backbone of it all.
