In collaboration with Christine Burdick Design, Modern Vermont designed and built a stage for the student center at Vermont Law School. The stage was a class gift. The back wall is angled to allow better viewing from all directions in the space, as well as providing a secret storage space behind for the 7 lectern/desks that MV provided. Materials include maple plywood for the back wall, maple europly for the lecterns, and charred ash for the black accents. Everything was finished with Vermont Natural Coatings matte floor finish.

 

The original design was a full triangle stage with a moveable piece that could be turned to form a rectangle. At the last minute, it was determined that the stage required a ramp for accessibility so MV revised the design to include a ramp that is tucked behind a 14' maple topped bench.
