Design Hypotheses and Solutions
1, Design the app with notifications in mind.
2. Keep the app track the data usage only when data is used without the impact on battery life.
4. Create a sense of real-time track that reflects 99% use cases of data usage.

5. The user can use the app to setup alerts in the threshold they would like to be notified of potential data over usage.
6. Create data usage reports by daily, weekly and monthly and keep the user up to date.
Results
1. When launched when it cost $4.99 to download the app and we had 50,000 downloads on the first couple of weeks. We launched a free version and it helped to drive the in-app purchase. About 25% of the revenue was from In-app purchase.
2. Over 4.0 positive user reviews.
3. Awarded by The FWA for The App of the Day and Behance Mobile Design.
4. The app was working for 3 years without updates. I took it down in 2015 due to the shift of focus and lock of resouces.
