Poem Illustration - Hekdi

As part of a classroom assignment, we were to illustrate a poem using any medium or materials.
The illustration had to be bigger than 15 x 15 inches.

The poem illustrated was the Hindi poem 'Hekdi' by Gulzar, about a jouvial and boastful man,
who tells tales of his grand encounters with famous people and marvelous feats of his own.
Keeping in mind the flashy, loud and exaggerative nature of the character, the final
illustration was a 5 x 2 ft piece, consisting of illustrated "photo frames" - reminiscent of
celebrity photo-ops - made of cardboard, jewel-beads, lots of glitter and pots of neon paint.
Each frame represented a part of the poem.
