About This Project

Acclaimed photojournalist and Nobel Peace Prize recipient John Rodsted accompanied my peers and I on a photographic study expedition in Cambodia and Laos, and something he said to me on the second day really inspired and resonated with me… “The only way you are going to enjoy this is if you make chaos your friend”. I spent the next three weeks in Cambodia and Laos subjecting myself to as much cultural-shock, disorder and mayhem as possible, riding motorcycles that were geared backwards, dodging chaotic traffic and consuming food that I would not normally consider edible from markets whilst simultaneously documenting the people, the culture and magnificent colour of South East Asia. Photos taken on my Canon AE-1.
