Finding creative second life for used things seems to be one of sustainability's primary solution. The satisfaction one may hope to get after creating something out of "waste" is immense. Old rug, which already had holes built into it, was used to make this teardrop shaped lamp, let by LED strip light. Teardrop is one of my favourate shapes, though one could imagine any 2D shape in creating this. The white LED, when reflected off of the orange inside of the lamp, exudes a warm glow, making the lamp perfect for bedrooms. The golden brass nuts and bolts add richness. The gray exterior creates perfect contrast to the orange interior.
