The origin of the family business "Grießhammer" founded in 1920 was based on the production of ceramic pressing tools for the local industry. With the decline of the technical ceramics industry at the end of the sixties, new business fields had to be found. Already at the beginning of the seventies, with the increase of plastics processing in Germany, the first injection molds were built.
