Opening spread. I used a road stripe to lead the eye across the page, and incorparted the subhead into the text flow to encourage left to right viewing. I didn't want to use a photo of only one car for the entire opening spread because the article is about so much more than one 2015 make and model.
Second page design. By incorporating circles, I was trying to invoke the feel of the dashboard of a car. I also used the concept from the opening spread of displaying a car feature next to an exterior shot, tying them together with arrows.
Third page of the article. I tried to carry the road stripe across the page, which helped tie in the design concept and separate the sidebar material.
