Design process for the header – Bottom up: original photo of a pier in Trieste on a sunny day (photo courtersy of Giulia Benericetti), first desaturated draft with fading gradient and final version (first from the top), cropped and saturated/retouched, and added logos.
Processed images more in detail below. I needed more yellow and a stronger sunset atmosphere as a background for the blue logo and the green logo.
The original official logo is rectangular, so it got cropped on Facebook. Besides, I wanted to convey the travel and art/literature theme, all in a square shape. Here are the 3 versions.
