This series seeks see the characteristic beauty of the traditional japanese geisha and then continue deeper, beneath the skin to reveal the darker side to this seemingly glamourous existence. Taken from their family-mostly agains their will- at a young age and roughly pushed, trained and conditioned into a life of service and submission, the life of a geisha is perhaps not all its cracked up to be.
