Kith & Kin
Kith & Kin is a genealogy book written by a group of elderly volunteers. The book is a series of stories about each of their families.
The voices of these volunteers come through very strongly in the book, and that’s how we hoped it would be. When creating this book I tried to establish a consistent style while introducing individual elements on each volunteers pages. I also created individual typographic headings for each story. This isn’t a history book in the traditional sense, more a treasured family scrapbook.
The book was very well received by those who came to pick one up with much positive feedback being received from the general public. Most importantly though was the feedback of the volunteers, who were extremely pleased with the final book and proud to have been involved.
