This was a school project for a class named The Business of Graphic Design at SCAD. Students were divided into groups and assigned positions (production designer, researcher, etcetera) and given the first project of creating a brand identity for themselves. As creative director, I led our group to create the identity for Dot Joy, a named which points to both print and interactive design through ink drops and pixels. The logo mark is a literal representation of the name by including a dot and the letter J. At the same time, it also creates a smiling face, further eccentuating the brand. The idea of happiness carries itself over into all the deliverables, from letterheads, "winvoices," and "fac-smilies."
