HI everybody, This is a matte painting, I did it in over 5 hours,
I wanted to create a volcano eruption the more realistic possible I can do. .
Process
I changed mountains, I used 4 types of mountains then I put a simple volcano (who was inactive)
I added images and texture of lava for both sides, and many others effects around the volcano.
i changed the colors of mountains due to lighting of lava who is next to, and I put smoke and cloud arround mountains and volcano (cause of altitude)
I added too, forest in the second plan and a lake with some effects.
I changed the background, I put a dark sky cause of the event who is passing during the night ;
The lighting on the mountains is from the moon (who is not the plan),
I added in the first plan, a large rock on the left side.
I finaly chose to add noise to make a "night vision",
for finish, I used 8 CC layers to do the render I wanted.
I used much ressources of texturing, lighting and images to do this work and some brushs.
This project is made with 2 points of perspective.
Software : Adobe Photoshop CS6
Time spend : over 5 hours
Resolution : 3840 x 2160

This color is the rock I added in the first plan
This color is the volcano ( I duplicated it and changed it on the left side)
This color is the first mountain
This color the sky/ clouds I added
This color is the second type of mountains I added
Then in last, on the background, I added a last type of mountain but we can't see it on the illustration.
I used a large plan of forest and lake on the second plan, it was too short on the left side so I duplicated it and changed it a bit, so the forest isn't similar at 100% like a mirror effect.
