For Denver Center for the Performing Arts' (Denver Center Theatre Company) production of "Vanya, Sonia, Masha and Spike".

This is tree bark we made to cover columns in the theatre. Brian Proud thought of the method, he showed me how to coat muslin with tinted CP-9, lay out torn foam strips, apply CP-9 coated battening in between the strips, and then paint. In the end it looked like real tree bark. 

The grass is painted raffia.
