Mr Monty's Magical Balloon is a iOS game made with GameSalad, developed as part of the Creative Digital Media Masters, in DIT.

 

It is an endless balloon flier inspired by the mechanical funfair arcade machines - everything in the game is a physical piece, moving mechanically throught the game's set.

 

My role on the project was both as a developer and as the game artist, creating the assets and defining the movements and animations.

 

Considering the need to present a solid and polished product on a very short deadline, the goal was to find a way to use theme to our advantage - by creating a mechanical arcade themed game, we justified simple movements and animations, requiring very few sprites to create a polished and engaging look.
