2008 Legends of Aussie Rock Celebration Dinner

2008 Legends of Aussie Rock Celebration Dinner
Proudly benefitting Support Act Limited
Australia's Music Industry Benevolent Fund
The inaugural “Legends of Rock Celebration Dinner” recognised the achievements of Australia’s rock superstars by giving people the opportunity to rub shoulders with household names and heroes of the music world.
MC’ed by Sheridan Stewart, patrons were treated to performances by Doc Neeson, Tice and Evans, GANGgajang, Swanee and the ever-green Stevie Wright of The Easybeats and Music Director Rop Pippan (who brought us the memorable ASO concerts involving the music of Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin). Upcoming local stars The Beards, who are off to represent Australia in the World Beard & Moustache Championships in Alaska later this year, also made an appearance.
Support Act Ltd was formed as a registered charity in 1997 by a concerned group of music industry veterans who recognised that there was a definite need to assist members of the industry, both on & off stage, who were in need. Support Act Ltd identifies, promotes & supports these individuals and their families, regardless of age, who have contributed so much to our lives and to the music business at large.
The SA chapter of Support Act Ltd (affectionately known as SALSA) was formed in October 2007 by radio legend David Day
