Illustrations and poster for the "Herança d'Os Maias".
"Herança d'Os Maias" is an activity for high-school students on genetics designed by IBMC.INEB.
The activity uses the plot and characters of the book "Os Maias" from Eça de Queirós and challenges students to perform "fictional" DNA tests to the characters in order to uncover "new information" about the characters and to rewrite the plot according to their findings.
This activy won the award of best activity on biology-geology in the international competition "ciencia en acción" in 2010.
