this painting is part of a series I’m working on now and that I had in mind for a long time. I’m trying to recover ancient painting techniques such as fresco or mural.
In this case I used a tile adhesive to prepare the linen cloth, quindo I spread a thin layer of plaster and unto I set everything with a coat of acrylic gesso very diluted.
To achieve the colors I picked up the jars of clay in the campaign in my area, to get the colors ocher, red, brown. These lands are to be cleaned and pounded and then passed through a sieve to obtain a fine powder. To use these pigments do: a teaspoon of pigment mixed with water to obtain a slurry to which I add half a tablespoon of white glue. I stir vigorously and the color is ready to be used.
