The site of Steetley Magnesite in 2011. It was in ruins then, and now it has been completely demolished so I am told.
Its role was the manufacture of magnesia using seawater and a pure dolomite (magnesium carbonate) mined locally, for use in the steel industry. More info at thisishartlepool.co.uk/history/steetley.asp
