Housing office
This shadow installation was made in collaboration with the georgian artist Giorge Katamadze at
"Batumi Backyard Stories" festival, Batumi, Georgia, 2013.
The project was done in a building, in which at different times contained a housing office, an electronical computing office and a workshop for production of rubber bands and threads. Local people have told us many stories from their childhood about this place, which is now completely abandoned. We took the heroes of these stories and brough them back to the building in the form of their shadows, thereby temporarily illuminating the history of the house for the audience.
