Design and development of a new course search facility for one of the UK's most popular universities.
Sheffield Hallam University is one of the UK’s most popular universities with students attending from all corners of the globe. To continue to attract a diverse range of students intake Sheffield Hallam University’s online course finder needed a serious rethink.
Working alongside the new media department at Vivid Creative, I designed and built a user friendly search tool that allows students to easily find subjects that they’re interested in, rather than having to trawl through pages of irrelevant information. Students can add subjects to the ‘My Prospectus’ area and print their very own, tailor-made prospectus.
As part of the new course finder, we developed an interactive panel for each individual subject. This allows the University to promote subjects through a variety of media instead of just text.
