The Benefits of De-Stressing: Posters

This is the first in a series of poster I did for Queen's University on the benefits of sleep/relaxation. Our little sheep friend is Oswald, and he is the main character in all the posters. The idea behind this design was that it represented Oswald (who emits a relaxed image) as repelling all the stresses found in the average first-years life. Just recently being a student myself, I know all too well that zit-causing, stress-eating, and crying-on-the-floor stage of life.
This poster is one without Oswald, instead the focus is more on a physical representation of how to de-stress. I wanted not only Oswald to be recognized, but the whole style of the poster to be a set. The key to this was keeping the other key elements in the poster. It does share the same word-splatter style as poster #1.
My favourite of the series, this poster takes the "LIGHTEN YOUR MIND" idea literally. Oswald is lfloating as if all his stress stopped weighing him down. Remember we can all take a lesson from Oswald here. The challenge here was how to make him stand out amoungst a bunch of similar sheep. All it took was giving the herd bland, bored, almost scared expressions. Going to the nearest college during exams gave me plenty of examples.
