This is a Physical peice i created. I used a scaple and masking tape. 

Basically stuck the paper down and cut vertically across the type.

 

Then carefully moved the strips left or right, stuck them down again scanned them into the Computer.

This is another peice i created, this was an old technique that ive done before.

Put masking tape across the type and rip! then it would give a old, vintage look.

 

I then decided to use both technique on each other.

 

This is the Cut paper with the Rip effect on top.

In Illustrator I basically got Rectangle Box filled in white and placed them over the type, Horizontal and Vertical and maybe Diagonal

Illustrator again, and basically using the rubber tool, and taking away certain parts of the type.
