Gardening Book Covers: Herbs and Spices

The first project of Design V: Advanced Typography for Graphic Design Communication at Philadelphia University involves the creation of a triptych, a series of three book designs that could work as a singular unit or as a combined group. The subject was gardening. I chose to use a series I created, 'The Millennial's Guide.' The series helps young people grow and use spices to channel healing.

Physical herbs and spices were used to create these covers. Photography was used after the herbs were rearranged into the different subjects. Other text was created by hand and scanned with Adobe Illustrator.
Complete series.
Series with belly band.
Process: Stencil creation.
Process: Photography of finalized type forms.
Final comps created in Adobe InDesign.
