As people perceive their environment to nearly 90% with their sight, most designers strongly focus on that sense alone, although many other senses are involved anyway. For instance people can smell the paper of a book, they feel its structure, they hear the sound of turning pages and yet too many designers concentrate on visual effects. However, by communicating a message through different channels/ senses (multisensory enhancement), the product’s effectiveness can be increased.
