Muevanse Todos
Muevanse Todos (Everybody Move)

The idea of this mural painting began with the intention of simply covering a political announcement that existed in my neighborhood. I invited to participate the neighbor-owner of the house, and three other friends. I brought the paints and we started, night and day, older neighbors came, new additions passed by the process, everyone interpreted the drawings in their own way, but everybody felt it well to be out again, and reconquering the streets and the public space, i told them the idea of this first part being kind of a papyrus: recording that moment, the people that cooperated, the print of sounds that formed this symphony of the open air.
The music piece that is planned to be the end of this mural is in progress, each voice, noise or instrument of the people involved will stick to a color and the length, this length in centimeters will be measured from distance to time. Then each mural will have its song, and the complete avenue will tell a story, each wall a memory, each song a linked life.
The wall in white, early days.
The wall before the intervention, with the old political announcement that lasted for more than 8 years there.
The beginning of the process
The first day of process.

Shortfilm of Raul Quintanilla,
with Abraham Merla as the "Sultan of Holanda",
filmed during the making of the mural.
May 2011.
