Door panel for a 1969 Chevy pickup
Headliner for the same
For this project I was charged with completely overhauling the interior of a 1969 Corvette. The design I chose was a two-tone black and charcoal color scheme, and the client loved it. This project consisted of: recoloring all the plastic parts (previously blue); installing new carpet, tediously sewing the goofy-shaped seats; sewing/gluing the door panels; covering the center console and redoing the trunk. All in all it turned out to be a winner.
This door panel project was for a 1969 Chevy Nova (what's up with me and 69' Chevy's?)
First step is to cut out your template.
Step 2-17 is making it look like this. I again got free reign in choosing the design scheme. I loved this two-tone tweed and vinyl that we used! Chevy's slogan "The heartbeat of America" was implemented by the pulse line at the bottom which continued on from the front door.
This is me experimenting with the "expensive look" on an old seat I had laying around.
This client was fond of the tribal flame and maltese cross look. Vehicle: 1972 Chevy pickup.
Headliner for the same.
