"Red Bull gives you wings". The slogan has been around since 2002 and apparently people found out that they still aren't able to fly after all these years. The company got sued by some consumers who claim that the slogan is misleading and makes fake promises.
The product doesn't give what it promises, literally and figuratively. The energy drink doesn't help with your concentration and the prosecutors also claim that the words "boost" and "wings" actually make people believe that they can become physically stronger.
To avoid any damage to their image, Red Bull now recognizes that the drink doesn't give you wings and the company is arranging a compensation of 13 million dollar (10 million euro) for the possible damage that is caused. Consumers that bought the drink between the beginning of 2002 and October 2014 in the USA can now apply on a special website to claim their compensation of 10 dollar, with a maximum of 13 million dollar in total.
What can I say? It only happens in the USA.
