The bookend was part of my Bachelor-Thesis »Material Type«. It´s 22cm high, 16cm deep and 12cm wide. It weighs about 6kg.

MAKING OF
 
The casting mold was made out of styrofoam, cut with a hot-wire foam cutter. The object was poured in one, seamless piece.
