These oil paintings are from 2008 and were part of a series called Illuminated Splotches. They are all fairly large works ranging from 3 x 4 ft to 8 x 8 ft. I am getting excited to start working on a new series of abstract oil paintings having been away from them 6 years. I hope to bring some of the elements I have been playing with in my watercolour paintings into the new series of oil paintings.
