Joining as a Research PhD position
I am joining the PhD position on the topic of “Design, Fabrication and Characterisation of Photonic Crystal based Sensors” in the Tyndall National Institute, Cork, Ireland. The strengths of the institute at the present time lie in the area of photonics, electronics, materials and nanotechnologies and their applications for life sciences, communications, power electronics and other industries. One of the factors that have allured him to Tyndall from other research institutes and university departments is the range of state-of-the-art fabrication facilities. In addition, the technology evolved from the proposed PhD project will be the basis of high added value diagnostic products which are expected to be commercialized. I believe that given the opportunity I shall be able to dedicate himself in research that will ensure his participation towards benefitting the humanity.
