This is a 3D Invitation project that invites people to join an astronomy club called Kepler's Pupils. Kepler refers to the German Astronomist who developed the Laws of Planetary Motion. The Pupil holds a double meaning, the pupil of eyeballs and a student who is being taught.
The box is made of double-plied gloss paper reinforced with illustration board. The viewing 'telescope' is a fish eye lens set inside the box facing inward, and the light is produced from behind the invite using LED strips inside. The type was created to express a feeling of lore and wonder, and holds many characteristics of famous star systems.
