The brand concept was inspired by the Scarabaeidae family dung beetle, the scarab was seen in Ancient Egypt as an earthly symbol of this heavenly cycle and the sun god Ra was inspired by the scarab as well. 

The graphic of the scarab was hand carved from a wood block and made into a digital print. The legend of the scarab is placed on the back of the box to allow the consumer to better understand their experience. Illuminate is a good choice for consumers who are aware of health concerns of burning parafin, printed on the boxes are information about the benefits of soy candles.
