I have always been inspired by the unique presence of sounds in everyday life. Those qualities translate into my photos, as 90% of my images were taken while listening to music. These images are often tagged with the respective song. When I look for an image I'm looking to be inspired by certain attributes a song has, whether it's in a major or minor key, any modulations or modes. I am also driven by smells and colors that a song will make me feel, those are what I strive to achieve in my editing, so someone who doesn't understand my process will be able to enjoy my images the same way I do. The specific set that you see below was inspired by a music video created for the artist Flying Lotus. The video was directed by Kahlil Joseph and was a selection in the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
