The cleaner head was developed by a small team, and each member was responsible for a number of various components. My work involved developing the motor cooling technology, rear seal technology, and removable brush bar cap, as well as packaging them into the base plate of he cleaner head.

Replaceable rear seal - Photograph by Adam Gilbert
This rear seal clips neatly into the rear of the cleaner head and is made up of two parts. The red clip is an injection moulded part, and the blue and black seal is a co-extrusion. It was crucial to design this part so that it can be easily replaced by the user.
